What Project would a laptop help you with?

My program is geared towards culturally relevant pedagogy. It’s slanted towards helping youngsters with brown skin and in substandard socioeconomic conditions to learn in a way that is better suited for them. Pens of Power emphasizes critical thinking, college readiness, and professional development. This helps increase test scores, make for better literacy and character development, and ultimately increases self-image/worth and is the prelude to a better vision for their futures and quality of living.

It will help me with curriculum preparation, recording sessions, powerpoint presentations, and a handful of additional odds and ends for my youth program. When I can draw a contrast between what society calls beauty vs. what J. Cole says in “Crooked Smile.increases self-image/worth and is the prelude to a better vision for their futures and quality of living.

What do you love about this project?

I love the “light bulb” moments. When I can parallel “Oceans” by Jay-Z to facts about slavery. When I can draw a contrast between what society calls beauty VS what J. Cole says in “Crooked Smile.” When I can use “How much a dollar cost” by Kendrick Lamar as an exemplar on character and treating people how they should be treated despite who you might think they are. It’s using tools that my scholars can relate to as a means to strike a chord that might otherwise lie dormant.
