Who Is Your Hero? Why?

My hero is my father. He is a retired colonel of the Memphis Police Department who became a pastor. He’s worked with the people to mediate peace between police and community. My Father’s willingness to help other has always made me want to do my part.

What is your favorite sound?

My favorite sound is the scatting of Ella Fitzgerald.

How would a laptop help you?

I am a participating activist and singer for a number of local advocacy groups. Having a laptop would allow me to aid them further by drafting and creating flyers for their peace rallies as well as advertising these gatherings on social media.

What do you love about this project?

The rallies that I’m involved with are all centered around the end of senseless violence, wherever they take place. I love being able to honor the legacy of my father through my actions.
