What Are You Most Passionate About?

Organizing and facilitating groups to find ways to improve and develop communities.

My parents and grandparents for their ancestral knowledge, sustainable agricultural practices and lifestyle. I’m also inspired by their hard work and fighting spirit that has allowed us to live off the land.

What Project would a laptop help you with?

We want to preserve our ancestral agricultural knowledge that, when combined with our creativity and hard work provides very productive systems that feed our families. We hope to serve as an inspiration for the next generation to adopt these practices allowing the creation of employment and development for the whole of the community. As well as to act as an example for the rest of the world on how being self-sufficient while caring for your people and the environment is possible.

How Would A Laptop Help You?

As the coordinator of CEPEK it would help me to store data, produce documents, manage tasks, communications and marketing and also to help Barefoot College on future permaculture design projects and sustainable agriculture workshops and courses.

What do you love about this project?

The energy of my colleagues, their everyday inspiration and commitment, the steady improvement of the productive plots and most of all, working in an egalitarian and collaborative manner for the benefit of all the families in the community.
