What Are You Most Passionate About?

I am passionate about helping people in need, mostly refugees. As a former refugee I saw the struggle and pain that refugees face and decided to give back as much as I can.

Who Is Your Hero? Why?

My mother was my hero. She made me the person I am today. Even when life was hopeless she always encouraged me and showed me that things will be okay no matter the situation.

What Is Your Favorite Sound?

l love the morning birds sounds. they alway remind me the days I use to visit my grand parents.

What Project Would A Laptop Help You With?

Refugees in Uganda face a wide breadth of problems, but one of the biggest ones is lacking access to computers and the internet. As the world is well in the age, many refugees find themselves left behind and most still don’t even know how to use a computer.
I work with grassroots centers to not only teach people how to use computers, but to help them in their time of need by connecting them to their friends and family abroad through the magic of the internet.

How would a laptop help you?

A new, working laptop would allow me to continue work with the grassroots organizations I serve. Through social media and VOIP services I can help these people in their time of need connect with friends and family and through presentation software I’ll be able to create lively lesson plans for my students. Should I receive multiple computers, I would be able to actually share these crucial tools with these people to give them a leg up on the challenges to come.

What do you love about this project?

The knowledge that giving people access to a transformative tool like a computer and the impact it has on their lives.
