What Are You Most Passionate About?

I love transforming lives and nature.

Who Is Your Hero? Why?

Mwalimu Julius Nyerere, the first president of the Republic of Tanzania. Despite being president he lived a humble life, unlike other pioneer African leaders who were dictatorial and only interested in amassing wealth thereby perpetuating corruption whose effects are being felt to date.

What Is Your Favorite Sound?

Bee humming – It reminds of hard work, dedication, and selflessness

What Project would a laptop help you with?

I am the founding trustee of Scion Trust, a Kenyan public Charitable Trust. We are teaching our communities ways to reap maximum benefits from what they have and increase their self-sufficiency through promoting modern farming techniques. With an emphasis on reducing waste, we also impart the lessons of nature conservation and efficiency.

How Would A Laptop Help You?

It will allow me and 15 volunteers to efficiently and conveniently work with the communities that we serve. It will be used for storage and analysis of field data as well as training material.  We will use it to produce power point presentations and training manuals for our projects.  We do not currently have any office equipment and are doing our work through cyber cafés which compromises our efficiency and confidentiality while increasing our administrative costs.

What do you love about this project?

Interacting, learning and empowering the indigenous Maasai people who have lived and maintained their culture and nomadic way of life while balancing their livelihoods without affecting nature

What Languages do you speak?

English, Swahili, Maa

Given a choice, would you prefer a Mac or PC?
