What Are You Most Passionate About?

I love practicing agriculture and animal husbandry. I have a job and salary, but I provide for my family mostly by growing rice, corn, and tomatoes, and raising chickens. Here in Guinea, even those lucky enough to be employed must supplement their incomes with agricultural work, which is something I very much enjoy.

Who Is Your Hero? Why?

My hero is my mother. Mothers work very hard raising multiple kids while taking care of cleaning and cooking. I have almost no memories of my mom resting because she was always occupied with something to take care of her family.

What Is Your Favorite Sound?

My favorite sound is the laugh of my one-year-old daughter.

What Project Would A Laptop Help You With?

I am in charge of general oversight of the students at an agricultural vocational school here in Guinea. A laptop would allow me to keep all of their grades organized digitally and calculate their averages much more easily than our current paper system. In the coming years, I will also be returning to school myself to get an advanced degree. A computer would be a priceless tool for me to compose formal documents, and do research.

How would a laptop help you?

A laptop is an essential tool for teaching in communication in the modern age. A laptop would be used to construct presentations, lesson plans and to facilitate contact with teachers abroad.

What do you love about this project?

The school I work at (L’ENAE of Tolo) is the same school I got my vocational degree from. In recent years, I have seen a decrease in student population, and a general decline of the school. I would like nothing more than to help the school get back to where it was when I was a student, and even surpass that. I believe that a computer would be a tool that would help me do that.

What Languages do you speak?

French and Pular.

Given a choice, would you prefer a Mac or PC?
