What Are You Most Passionate About?
The environment. I work as a Forest Guardian within the conservation branch of the government. In my spare time, I work on projects in order to promote conservation and reforestation.
Who Is Your Hero? Why?
My mother. She is the one that gave me life. Her support and love is something that I will carry forever.
What Is Your Favorite Sound?
In the evenings, when the sky is dim, I close my eyes and listen to the birds. I listen to them from their high vantage points talking to one another. I find peace in their simple communication.
What Project would a laptop help you with?
The name of my project is “Arbres pour tous” (Trees for All). I run a tree nursery that helps the area with reforestation. At the nursery, you can find an abundance of fruit trees, in addition to the trees that grow natively. It’s my goal to promote easy and affordable techniques for growing tree growth.
How Would A Laptop Help You?
With a laptop, I would be able to better organize this project and continue to research new techniques. I currently have two notebooks to document cash flow, track inventories, detail nursery observations, and to maintain notes. I would love to transfer all of this documentation into a computer.
What do you love about this project?
That true moment of satisfaction comes when a small sprout pops out from an empty tree planter. When I see that little green life shoot out of a pile of dirt, I get giddy! I immediately look to a fully matured tree and just think of what is in store for this little sprout.
What Languages do you speak?
French, Pular, Malinke, Sousou and Woloff.
Given a choice, would you prefer a Mac or PC?
