What Are You Most Passionate About?

Justice for the poor, particularly girls in poverty who are at risk of exploitation. I set up my non-profit, Speak Up, specifically to be an advocate and defender for these girls.

Who is someone who inspires you?

Mother Teresa. When I lived in Yemen as a child she came to visit our village. Seeing her worldwide recognition blossom, I aspired to follow her selfless example.

What Is Your Favorite Sound?

A basketball swishing through a net.

What Project would a laptop help you with?

Our Career Center helps girls from very poor villages by giving them a place to study and work on their practical computer skills in the city. We also provide them with opportunities to tutor children and earn income for their studies.

How Would A Laptop Help You?

Often these young women are the first from their family to go to college or university or nursing school, so by having a laptop we are supporting them to succeed.

What do you love about this project?

There is nothing better than seeing girls, previously destined for exploitation, free to pursue their dreams.

What Languages do you speak?

English, Bangla, Thai & Spanish

Given a choice, would you prefer a Mac or PC?
