What Are You Most Passionate About?

Helping my neighbor and giving back to my community. I spend a lot of time connecting with others because the connections in my own life have been so important to me.

Who is Someone That Inspires You?

I’m inspired by just seeing the humanity of others — by seeing a regular person on the street going out of their way to do a simple good deed for someone else. The bus driver inspires me; the street cleaner inspires me — the normal everyday person who lives in the world and interacts with others every day.

How Would A Laptop Help You?

A laptop would allow me to focus on building my coding skills; and by developing my photography by giving me equipment to edit photos on and get them out on my platforms to share them with others. I volunteer with various organizations and a laptop is crucial for my work as a photographer my development as a coder.

What do you love about this project?

I love being part of a collective that does meaningful things for the community, so that everyone has a meaningful experience. This has especially been my experience with We Lift and Shift: it allows me to get closer with technology at my pace and my means, and then help others learn in the same way. We Lift and Shift Foundation has helped myself and other veterans transition out of military service by giving us the confidence to learn new skills.
