What Are You Most Passionate About?

I truly believe that everyone is a teacher and everyone is a student. This guides my passion to teach youth in my community about new urban art forms. My dream is to develop an arts foundation to encourage children to develop their creative expression.

Who Is Your Hero? Why?

My hero is my mom. She raised me to believe in myself and encouraged me to pursue my dreams of being an artist.

What Is Your Favorite Sound?

I love the sound of a mustang car with a strong engine roaring up!

What Project Would A Laptop Help You With?

I am a Ugandan based visual artist. I use graffiti art, ink pen sketches, painting, illustrations, and other media to inspire youth with the power of creativity and open-mindedness. I spend most of my time connecting with local organizations to offer arts mentorship by hosting workshops, teaching my art methods, and creating collaborative community murals.
For a long time, I have wanted to gather youth from different countries to participate in creating murals. I would set it up as an arts festival and competition where groups can demonstrate their skills and participate in workshops to learn new skills as well. Meanwhile, I am actively coordinating opportunities for myself to paint for people and consult on their own project ideas, so I can make a living. I just don’t have a computer to assist me.

How would a laptop help you?

It’s currently hard to contact people or do research on ideas. I use a small smartphone, but it can be very limited to what I can do. If I had a laptop, I could make more professional connections for myself, reach out to new groups for community projects, and be more successful as an artist.

What do you love about this project?

I love that it brings people together and gives them the opportunity to also explore their own creativity. If I had not been given the opportunity myself to get involved, I would not have discovered my passion in life. I hope I can do the same for others.
