Short Description Of Project

The majority societal view in India is still one where women are secondary to men, and this affects the way women are perceived in all parts of life – particularly in the home, in work, in receiving assistance, in how they are treated and the respect received.

I work with both men and women to change this view such that there is the recognition of human equality, and also track the changes and investigate how best to approach this societal perception so that Indian society moves towards a more balanced perception. This means that women receive the same treatment from police, medical services, government workers and in all areas that men receive. Women feel safe to undertake their tasks, and to be able to report crimes that do occur.
